To become a tutor with StudyBuddy you will need to go through an application process of 3 steps. It begins by simply creating an accout with StudyBuddy then select 'Become a tutor' in the onboarding screen. Scroll for more details
Teaching requirements
What you'll need to become a StudyBuddy
In order to get your application approved, you will need to meet the following teaching requirements
A minimum of one year of teaching or tutoring experience
Your teaching experience can either be online or offline.
Fluency in the subject you want to teach
You should be confident explaining concepts clearly and accurately.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred, not mandatory)
Having a degree is a plus, but real-world teaching experience is equally valued.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, student-centered attitude
We value tutors who make students feel heard, supported, and motivated.
A stable internet connection and a professional teaching setup
This includes a quiet environment, reliable internet, a good camera, and clear audio.
Bonus: Hold a teaching certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, PGCE)
Certifications aren’t required, but they strengthen your profile and trust.
Bonus: Experience teaching students from different cultural backgrounds
Cultural sensitivity and adaptability are highly appreciated.
